Jim Baker's Biography Houston, Texas
Jim (James A. Baker) lives in the River Oaks area of Houston, Texas. Some of Jim's honors, and degrees, academic distinctions, and community involvement achievements include the following: Jim received his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from the University of Rochester, his certification in Community Behavioral Science Application at the Rochester Institute of Technology (24 hour certification course), a Master of Science (M.Sc.) from the State University of New York at Brockport, and attended ABA approved South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. While living in Rochester Jim became a co-founder of the National Center for Dispute Settlement of the American Arbitration Association. In his earlier years Jim taught numerous course at Rice University and is a past instructor for the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business, Rice University Houston, Texas and was honored to become an Adjunct Professor by Dean Lee Transier PhD for the University of Houston. Jim remains a very active sponsor and author with his highly acclaimed and bestselling book "The Anger Busting Workbook", the "Anger Bustingtm Training and Counseling Guide" "Tele-Sales Marketing" and "Negotiations Tactics For Professionals" as well as his newly released book on "Texas Cookin". Among his many active writings Jim is a featured writer with his monthly column on Anger Related issues which appears in Recovery Today Magazine. Jim's online presence continues to grow and evolve with his six monthly articles which range from Executive Presentation Skills, Negotiations Training, Time Management, Managing for Motivation, and Sales & Marketing Does & Don'ts which has a unique subscriber base in excess of 25,000 interested and dedicated readers monthly.
